Chipping Help

Good chipping technique is not an advantage of many golfers. The reason is very few golfers practice their chipping shot as much as their driving shot. Chipping is can easily can shave off few strokes from the golf game, yet it is practiced less.
When preparing to chip, lean your upper body forward from your hip, and keep your legs slightly bent and put slightly more weight on your left foot. Rest the club shaft on the inside of the left thigh and then take your normal grip. Now you are in the right position to chip the ball on to the green. Make sure the weight stays on your left foot throughout the swing to loft the golf ball into the air. The swing is made from your body rotating around the spine's axis, making sure that your body leans your arms and hands. Keep your arms and wrists relaxed during the swing. A good way to check that you are using your body instead of your arms and hands is to look for the V shape between your shoulders and hands. This V shape should stay the same throughout the swing. The upper body ends facing the target.
So follow these tips when preparing for your next chipping shot in golf.
